Are you between 15 and 25 years of age, then you have the posibility to become one of the TRAINEES, who will be sailing from Kristiansand in Norway to Aalborg during The Tall Ships Races 2015

Every year, thousands of young people between the age of 15 and 25 from all over Europe boards one of the great tall ships, participating in The Tall Ships Race. In addition to the permanent crew, every ship take aboard a few trainees, during The Tall Ships Races.

As a trainee, you will be part of the crew and get to experience the life and the tasks aboard, as well as participate in the great race, that The Tall Ships Race is. There is no requirement of previous sailing experience, all you need to bring is curiosity, gumption and the will to learn more about leadership, cooperation and communication.

Aboard the ship, you will be working in teams, each with alternately responsibility and free time. The various job tasks ranges between everything  from navigation and sailing, to be on the deck, cooking, setting sails, cleaning and climbing masts. In addition to that there will be many hours in the company of the other trainees, with alt what that may include of social activities. You are expected to participate in all kinds of task. The language spoken aboard is English.

You will need to devote a week to the sailing – expected boarding in Kristiansand on July 27, 2015, and expected arrival in Aalborg on August 03, 2015.

The price of boarding is 1,500 DKK which includes a one weeks stay on one of the participating ships, during the Tall Ships Race 2015, room and board, cruise party, as well as the journey to Kristiansand
